Aside from drinking coffee on the balcony of Villa 3301, if you must go out, our favorite place to have a coffee is the Neutral Coffee Lab located inside the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal.  

https://www.waldorfastorialoscabospedregal.com/culinary/neutral-cafe/.  The Neutral Coffee Lab is amazing and these guys are super knowledgable about coffee and all the methods to prepare it.  After your coffee is prepared take it outside and sit and watch the waves crash against the shore of the resort.  The Waldorf is a short drive via taxi or uber from Villa La Estancia and well worth the trip.  

The most popular coffee in Cabo San Lucas is likely the traditional Mexican coffee, which is made with medium-roasted coffee beans and has a rich and bold flavor. Mexican coffee is often enjoyed with a dash of cinnamon or chocolate, and is sometimes served with a small serving of hot milk on the side.

The other popular coffee in Mexico is call the Flaming Mexican coffee, also known as Café de Olla, is a traditional Mexican coffee beverage that is made by simmering coffee, cinnamon, and brown sugar in a clay pot. The final step of preparation involves lighting the coffee on fire, which imparts a unique, smoky flavor to the drink.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups water

  • 2 cinnamon sticks

  • 1 cup ground coffee

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • orange peel (optional)

Preparation:

  1. In a clay pot or saucepan, bring water, cinnamon sticks, and orange peel (if using) to a boil.

  2. Reduce heat to low and stir in ground coffee and brown sugar.

  3. Simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Remove from heat and serve immediately.

Flaming Mexican coffee is a traditional beverage that has a long history in Mexican culture. It is often enjoyed during special occasions, such as holidays and celebrations, and is considered an important part of Mexican heritage.
