Watching the Cruise Ships Come and Go

    The view from our balcony

There's a quiet ritual to mornings here. Somewhere before your second cup of coffee, a ship the size of a small city eases around Land's End and settles into the Sea of Cortez, close enough that you can watch the tenders drop and thread their way to the marina. By late afternoon it's gone again — a slow, silent exit past El Arco with the light turning gold behind it.

You don't have to go anywhere to see it. The balcony at Villa #3301 looks straight out over the water they anchor in.

    Morning Arrival

Most ships glide in around sunrise, rounding Land's End with the Arch lit up behind them. Coffee on the terrace, no alarm needed.

    A Tender Port

Cabo has no cruise pier, so ships drop anchor right in the bay — parked in full view instead of hidden behind a dock.

    Golden-Hour Departure

Late afternoon they haul anchor and slide back out toward the Pacific, decks glowing as the sun drops.

    Bring Binoculars

From the balcony you can read the hull names, watch tenders shuttle back and forth, and catch whales crossing the same water in winter.
